We made a typo. For months the country data API accepted 0.1 XRP for a standard query and 0.5 XRP for AI. The real price was always 1 XRP and 5 XRP. We missed it in code review. Fixed now, across all 30 countries and both payment rails.
0.1 XRP per query sounds cheap until you run the numbers:
At 0.1 XRP, we were paying for the chain with our own money. At 1 XRP / 5 XRP, we break even at ~650 paid queries per day. No VC money. No token inflation. No subscription trap.
